As long as I remember I have kept a sketchbook. This year my sister and I went to Germany to visit our other sister. I had plenty of time and inspiration to sketch alot of things, future projects including these ornaments. Here is a page from my sketchbook.

The new studio in Florida is smaller than the one I had in Ct, i learned to get efficient and only keep the stuff I loved, this drawing board being one of them. I start out by priming the bulbs.

Sometimes during the painting I decide to change the design, especially on this one, the protype worked out great but the rest of the bulbs were not cooperating. So here you can see some stages of the same bulb.

Festival of the trees

My sister in law brought me to the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford CT years ago to see the Festival of the Trees, since then I have always wanted to be a part of a Festival. Finally this year I am happy to say my Jingle Bulbs will be a part of the Orlando Museum of Arts Festival of the Trees, I really like the museum and am happy and proud to be a part of it.

Here is a preview, the tree isnt finished, it still has 6 bulbs to go on and it lights up.

The tree sold for $250 in 2 days. So, that is my contribution to the arts for this year. And your Jingle Bulb orders are your contribution to an artist living in Florida, so good on all of us.
